I didn't realize it was a troll until after my last response. (I am not even
a natural blond either! lol)

Jarrod is home so he gets to snuggle with he demon.. err I mean diva lol..

We are fairly sure that she is teething already (as she has 2 teeth that
have broken through... the 2 teeth just behind where the canine's should
be!) so she is not a happy baby...

None of the teething rings or toys I can find are good really for her age as
she doesn't have much coordination to get them in her mouth, so she is
eating her fists and our fingers...

If she isn't teething, then we have 2 pieces of "bone" protruding from her
gums that are very "teeth like". Since it isn't that major of a deal (she is
sleeping and eating fine) we are content waiting until her next pediatrician
appointment on August 1st...

Oh, poor baby! Maybe a frozen washcloth would be good to
gnaw on? A colder-than-normal bottle? A bit of formula,
frozen in an easy-to-gnaw shape, in one of those mesh bags
you use for (older) babies who are just starting foods that

easy to get into her mouth while still cold.)

Yes, thank you very much! We haven't decided where we're
going to stay yet, and may put that decision off until we're
underway and ready to stop. Since there's nothing between
Albuquerque and Amarillo, though, there's really not much
point in trying to get a little farther down the road.

Already? Oh, that poor child! Have you tried Hyland's homeopathic teething
tablets? Since they're homeopathic, they're safe to use even with a very
young baby like yours. They also make a homeopathic teething gel.

I thought it is really early too, but there are pieces of teeth like bone
sticking out behind where her canines should be (weird for those to be the
first isn't it?), so I assume thats what they are. She settles a bit when we
rub the gums surrounding them... We will find out for sure in 2 weeks I
guess :-)

Thanx for the info on the homeopathic stuff! I will be looking them up at
the health food store tomorrow :-)

Unfortunately, I start way too many posts this way, but, not to be
alarmist or anything -- you may want to give your ped a call about
those teeth before the next appointment.

Some babies/people actually have extra teeth -- I don't mean like 35
teeth at adulthood, but a portion of a third set altogether, that
emerge before the baby teeth.

They are for the most part harmless, my older daughter had one -- she
'teethed' for a few days at 3 or 4 months, got a little tooth (very
little, like the head of a pin little) and lost it a few days later.
It's because some of the very early teeth are from this extra set, and
they're rootless, so they're meant to fall out fast. But some Dr.s
like to pull them because they can be a choking hazard!

Sage's 'extra' tooth was also behind where her canines eventually
showed up. She didn't get an actual baby tooth until 11 months.
