Incredible. Happens quite frequently, so I am given to understand. Also CPS
may take custody of a child or children from Mom, and then consign the child or
children to FC, without even notifying bio Dad or relatives.

See Family Law Quarterly Millennium ed. 2000.

FAMILIES, KINSHIP CARE, ASFA, ABUSE, NEGLECT, IMMUNITY, SOCIAL WORK, FAMILY LAW

Incredible that in your subject field you could so mislead the public
into thinking that DCF was at fault, when it was a private agency that
the state them came down hard and revoked their license to do
adoptions.

Is it so hard for you admit when CPS does something right that you'd
try to slide a baldfaced lie past our reading public in Unsenet?

Why yes, looks like you would mislead and lie. This wasn't about CPS
doing the wrong thing, but rather the right thing in Florida.

Funny YOU didn't say so, now isn't it?

I don't think people are just going to take your word anymore. They
have very likely, unless they are total Greenhorns here, learned that
when YOU don't quote you are hiding the truth and setting them up to
believe something that isn't true.

I do believe that is one of the definitions for lying, liar.

Adoption agency to halt child placement
DCF alleged violation in one case's proceedings
By Aetna Smith

A Tallahassee-based adoption agency has chosen to voluntarily stop
placing children after being accused of violating state notification
and disclosure policies, according to the Florida Department of
Children & Families.

The allegation stemmed from an adoption in July 2002 handled by the
Foundation for Children Inc., according to a DCF letter sent to the
agency's attorney Joyce Sibson Dove.

In the letter, the foundation was accused of not taking appropriate
steps to notify the biological father of the child. In addition, the
letter said the agency reportedly did not disclose in the adoption
proceedings that the child's grandparents, who had been caring for the
child, were interested in keeping the child.

The state sent the letter Sept. 12 and in it also notified the
foundation that its license would be revoked in 21 days unless it
requested an administrative hearing.

The foundation didn't request a hearing but did reach an agreement
with the state to not renew its license, according to DCF."

Thanks, Tarragon. You do this so well these days.

Don't you wish I wasn't around and you could have the ng all to

Gosh I just noticed I forgot to adequately post this lovely missive to
the right newsgroups. The Plant had just sent it to
a.s.foster-parents.

It would hardly get the exposure it needs and deserves in just that ng
since it isn't really an anti-cps ng at all.

I always try to help Plants whenever I can, being a gardener and plant
lover and all...r r r r r r r
