Cary, N.C. -- NCSingleParent.com, a recently launched web site
designed to be an interactive resource for single parents all across
North Carolina, recently released the inauguaral edition of its
newsletter, Single Parent Times. NCSingleParent.com was founded by
Montie Roland, a single parent and the owner of Cary-based Montie
Design (http://www.montie.com). The newsletter can be downloaded at
www.NCSingleParent.com.

The first issue of Single Parent Times includes an article by Roland
explaining why he created the site, an article by family law attorney
Steve Monks of Durham, and an article by Christine Myers, President of
the Triangle chapter of Parents Without Partners.

"The idea for NCSingleParent.com came about as a result of my own
struggles and challenges," says Roland. "The site is intended to
provide easy access to information on how to deal with the issues
single parents face every day."

NCSingleParent.com features forums specifically aimed at issues
unique to single parents. The legal issues forum covers child support
and other divorce and child custody-related issues and is moderated by
a family law attorney. The financial issues forum is moderated by a
financial planner who is also a single parent. Other forums address
issues such as separation, divorce and even finding help with tasks
such as home repair. NCSingleParent.com also features a forum
addressing the needs of single parents who are widowed. This forum is
moderated by a widow with a burden for assisting other widowed
individuals. The site's other resources include articles written by
other single parents on issues such as how to plan a vacation and
features event postings for single parent-related events and classes
in the Triangle area.
