Set up a paypal account with your bank account instead of a credit
card. Or apply for one international credit card that you use only
for ordering online, perhaps

If you send me your address, I will happily send
you some gently used books and children's
magazines. I have a plethora of both, and would
be very happy to send them to a child who is such
a voracious reader that he has exhausted the
supply at the library :)

Folks, Petra lives in Croatia (former Yugoslavia). You need to understand
that the banking system there is not much at all like the ones in western
Europe or North America. If it's anything at all like the Czech Republic,
where I live, few people have credit cards or even Visa/Mastercard debit
cards. And checks are unheard of. Paypal won't let you register with an
international bank account unless it's from a small group of countries
(basically the US and Canada, the European Union countries, and a handful of
others).

Petra, I, too, would be willing to help you out. Please e-mail me privately
- remove "nospam" from my address before replying.

With amazon.com, at least, you can also pay by check. I'm
not sure of the procedure, but I know it exists. Is that an option?

The OP had her address in it. If it is not off your server you should
be able to find it. I deleted from my answer because I don't think
it is a good idea to publish such information on usenet.

Thanks Dorothy - I did indeed miss the OP. I've found it, though.
