Im so confuse, I need help! To start off Im always on time with my
period. The last time I had my period was on june 1,2004...Its been 2
1/2 months and no sign of my period. I took about 4 home pregnancy
test and 1 blood test 2days ago and they all come out negative! I
forgot to mention that me and my husband are trying to have a baby!
Even with all test negatives I feel sick, nausea and sometimes have
small headaches.... I'm so confuse can I still be pregnant and even if
the blood test is negative? Why isnt my period here! If I'm not
pregnant Can anyone suggest what might be wrong with me! Any info will
help.... Thank you

I would investigate further. Go to your doctor and
insist on figuring this out. You could be pregnant. Sometimes
the tests aren't accurate, for whatever reason. If you are
not pregnancy, there may be something else that needs looking
into.

My husband and I started trying to conceive about a year and a half ago. A
few months after we started, my periods got real crazy. I'd have some
spotting one month, then nothing for 2 months, then two "normal" flows twice
in one month. It was just all over the place. I went to the dr. many
times. And my husband and I decided to stop trying until we got ME figured
out. Each time at the dr. they checked for pregnancy and it was always
negative. They tested all sorts of things like my thyroid, they checked me
for anemia, had a PAP, etc. Everything always came back normal. So after
about 6 months of real irregularity we were at 'let's wait and see what next
month's period brings (or doesn't bring)'. And lo and behold it came when I
expected it to. Then the next month, and the next month. It all went back
to normal.
We never had a medical explanation for it, but I wonder if I was stressing
out too much as we were trying so hard to get pregnant? After a few months
of the irregular periods, when we stopped trying, it only took a few more
months for me to return to normal. Then a month later when we stopped
worrying so much about getting pregnant and started trying again with the
"whatever happens, happens" attitude rather than "gotta make a baby, gotta
make a baby, go, go, go" - BAM - I was pregnant.
Definitely go back to the dr. and ask for further investigation, especially
if you're having other symptoms such as nausea and headaches. But maybe you
just need a breather to relax. My husband's cousin was trying to have a
baby for a year or so too and was getting frustrated. Just when she was
starting to loose hope and thinking maybe it just wasn't meant to be, she
got pregnant.
Good luck,
Lydia
