Illinois Child Support

Can anyone direct me to a case in which summer CS in Illinois was reduced
during extended visitation?
Summer CS is not automatically reduced during the summer months in the state
of Illinois and I am looking for other cases to provide to the court to show
it was done before and why.

You'll need to go to your local law library to research IL case law on this
issue.

Another approach to consider is determine if IL is one of the state's now
recognizing "parenting plans" as a basis for establishing reductions in CS
for NCP parenting time.

If the state does not allow CS reductions during summer months, they may
allow a year-round reduction based on the parenting plan for the summer
months.

I'm not in Illinois so I cant get to the local law library. Searching on
line is very hard to find exactly what you need and I was hoping there was a
sure method for finding specific information. I figured I was asking to
much but you never know. :-)

CS isn't reduced, in Illinois, for summer visitation IF the summer visitation
is half of the summer or less. Half of all a child's school breaks are
considered standard in Illinois.

Illinois is of the belief that anything that is standard has already been
addressed in the creation of the CS % and CS is paid in monthly or bi-weekly
incriments only to make paying easier for the NCP.

There might be a few older cases hanging around, that would only be accessable
through a law library, but now adays there aren't very many people that even
try to get CS reduced based on half the summer or less, and the ones that do
are pretty much just waisting their time.

If you are talking about more than half of the summer then you have a chance.
But very little is available on the net about individual cases in Illinois law,
so getting someone to an instate law library would be your best bet if you
aren't hiring a lawyer.

Thats what we are finding out.
We think we can argue it based on our child care expenses, but in the end we
dont think it is actually worth it (the hassle)

That's how it is in Indiana also. But I believe IndyGuy1 is correct in that
Illinois feels visitation expenses are already addressed in the original
ordered amount.....

children and use that as a basis for lowering support/ custody modification
