co-sleeping question

Hi, everyone -- I'm very intrigued by all the posts on
breastfeeding/co-sleeping (and the prospect of eventually being able to
keep on sleeping!!). I know you're not supposed to co-sleep with infants
on waterbeds; does anyone know if it's OK for infants to sleep on foam
mattresses? We've got a tempur-pedic-like bed (not that brand, but the
same idea); it's pretty soft.
