Meggett jailed after failing to pay child support

Former New England Patriots running back Dave Meggett was ordered jailed
until March unless he can come up with the $191,600 he owes in child
support.
He surrendered to authorities Wednesday at Dedham Probate Court after a
warrant was issued for his arrest.
Meggett was a favorite of former Patriots coach Bill Parcells. After six
years with the New York Giants, he followed Parcells to New England in 1995
and played three seasons with the Patriots. He finished his career with the
New York Jets in 1998, playing two games that year. Since 2002, he has been
an assistant coach at American International College in Springfield.
