Is this another one of those AOL malfunctions? Supposedly there are tones of
posts and I only see one or two. Plus I see answers to ones I never saw in the
first place!! GRRR . . . if anyone posts something to me and I don't answer,
forgive me. It will be because I have not seen it.

Leslie, I sympathise, I've been setting up a new news server as I'll
probably lose access to the one I was using soon, I was doing fine, but when
I switched on my computer today after being away for the weekend I could
only read not post, thankfully my husband had misunderstood me when I was
asking about our ISP and they do have a news server so I'm now using that,
but they don't keep as many posts on the server so things are looking a
little funny as I'm not sure I've got everything that I might have wanted
from the end of last week!

Have you gotten them now? I think I have them all finally, but I marked all
read at one point without realizing that I couldn't see them all, so as a
result I missed a lot.

I'm particularly irritated that I missed all the brouhaha about Jill and Dale
Gribble, because I had plenty I would have liked to add to that one.

ACK! How frustrating! That happened to me yesterday when I tried to post t
hrough Google--I could readbut when I tried to respond they said I had already
replied to too many messages, even though to my knowledge I had never used
Google to post!

I hope you get it all straightened out--I'm bummed that I missed participating
in a couple of threads I would have liked to respond to.

Really? No matter where you are reading it from? What causes that?

Well I've only used one server, so I don't know if it's like this
everywhere. It seems to be like this for a lot of people, plus I don't
have problems with other newsgroups, so I've drawn my own conclusions.
;-) I keep wondering if this group used to be moderated at one point,
or something, or was going to be, but now isn't, so the settings are
messed up on some servers (or a lot?). Beats me.
