just went to the loo & there was blood.....

so looks like everything has finished before it even got started. i know
that some people are still ok when they bleed, but given my history, i'm not
holding out too much hope. AF isn't even due until monday, so i don't know
why it's happening now. perhaps to put me out of my misery quicker?

i had said if i have another m/c, i am not going to try again. i have one
beautiful amazing child and i should be happy with that.

Elizabeth, I want to send you some calming vibes, because no matter which
way this is going, you'll need it. Anecdotally, though, I had bleeding
right around when I should have had my period almost as much as it would
have been with a period, and it was probably implantation bleeding!

Please please try to relax, enjoy your family, and let your body do what
it is doing. We don't know what that is yet.

Oh Elizabeth, I hope everything is ok - it sounds to me like it could be
an implantation bleed though... timing sounds right for it.

Elizabeth,
I'm so sorry that you may be miscarrying. The blessing here, if you are, is
that it is early, so physically it shouldn't be painful...emotionally, well,
that's another story. I'm sorry I don't remember how many other
miscarriages you've already had, but I wanted to just comment on your last
line, "i had said if i have another m/c, i am not going to try again. i have
one beautiful amazing child and i should be happy with that."

Of course only you know when you are done ttc, but there is no law that says
that you cannot want another child, no matter how beautiful, how perfect,
and how wonderfully amazing your first is. It's not like you've reached
your allotted number of children, or that you can't or shouldn't try for
another while other people are still struggling for their first. And
wanting another child in no way takes away from how much you love and adore
your existing child. I'm sure you know all of this, but I just thought it
needed to be said again. If you want another child, you are entitled to try
for another, providing of course, that you have the emotional fortitude to
endure additional possible miscarriages and the strains of pregnancy. Which
you may or may not want to deal with. And of course, that's your choice.

For me, it was 9 (recorded) losses and a failed IVF that was the end for me.
Last straw. I thought -- heck, who needs to get into double digits on the
miscarriages... so I moved on to adoption to build my family, which
obviously was quite successful.

Anyway, again, I'm sorry that this pg doesn't seem to be working out. Hugs.

Ow bummer!! Big time bummer! I just responded to your other thread, before
reading this. On the positive side, I've had bloodloss before my period
was due, and was pregnant anyway. It is hard to tell, but you sound like
you have the same type of luck I have: if it can go wrong, it will go
wrong. Murphy karma.

I do hope against all odds that it is an implantation bleeding. It is so
hard to deal with this. I'm sorry you have to go through it again.

nope. someone mentioned cervical polyps. i have 2 of those (they are a

Strong? Maybe not, maybe so. But you do what you've gotta do to have a
family, and apparently I just had to work a bit harder than some folks, but
not harder than others. You never know how strong you are until after
you've survived that which you thought was unsurvivable. Then you go, "hey,
good on me!"

It's an Aussie thing Jamie, we weird aussie regularly refer to our kids and
"little horrors". it not meant to be nasty in any way

Melissa (who has 3 horrors)

I'll third that this is definitely an Aussie thing ... "little horrors" is
meant to be a term of endearment!

Awwww, thanks! Chuffed. Gotta love it! It was all pretty gobsmacking...
; )

I'm still pretty amazed and thrilled myself, after all we've been through,
that we're a family of 4. That I have a little 2 year old wondergirl who
throws her arms around me and willingly gives me kisses -- all I gotta do is
ask!. She's so cute -- even when she wakes up in the middle of the night
crying, when I go in her room, she askes for her dolly and water, and when I
give them to her she says, "kank you mama" and rolls over and goes right
back to sleep. She kills me. I can't believe I'm lucky enough to have
gotten the chance to do this the first time, to say nothing of the second.
I'm not sure if I'll get a third, but if not, I'm amazingly happy with the
two I've got!

You know, when I first read that line about the "little horrors" I thought
one of the folks from the childfree ng had "taken the time to let me know
that they cared"...sarcasm on. I seem to have a follower, so I thought it
might have been from them.... But then I read who it was from and I'm
like -- "Hey, I *like* Michelle Downunder! What's up with that?" That's
when I reread my original post and realized it was probably sincere based on
my retyping my history. Phew.

Just so you know ... if you ever get something similar from me, it will
genuinely mean good things! I tend to "pay out" (tease) anyone that I do
like (its an Aussie thing) and it will have slipped by my radar for editing
Things Which Get Lost In Translation.
