We're buying my son a gameboy for his birthday. I tried the "Zelda"
game beforehand and I think it will frustrate him with all the text
messages interrupting the game. He'll be 6 and doesn't read more than
a few words and phrases. Any experience with titles for the gameboy
advance that have little or no reading?

thx - Frosty

Tetris doesn't require reading. If it's not currently available, check
ebay for used cartridges (old Game Boy and Game Boy Color might work in
the Advanced system -- I know old Game Boy cartridges work in the Color
system )

Remember that any of the Gameboy Color games work with GBA, so you
have a wide range to choose from. THere are some easier games that
are variations of computer games--like Rescue Rangers and Tonka
Rescue, stuff like that. Also, any of the videogame adaptations like
Sonic, Donkey Kong, etc. are good. My 5 year old largely learned to
read playing Pokemon on the Gameboy, so even though there is some
reading involved, once they get the hang of battles, etc., they don't
need to read that much.
