Do I need to cut out alcohol?

You should drink no more than 1 or 2 units of alcohol, once or twice a
week.
A unit is half a pint of ordinary strength beer, lager or cider, a
small glass of wine or a single 25 ml measure of spirits.

That is indeed the usual guidance here. Its up to you who you listen
to really, its worth being aware that there are different opinions and
that ultimately the choice is yours. However its worth considering
that the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists considers
the advice above on the conservative side (they say that up to a unit
per day is acceptable).
