I haven't seen this in any of the other posts on the 1-hour glucose
test, but it's possible that I've missed it - I've been reading this
group obsessively, but I guess that doesn't translate to thoroughly :^).

Anyway....I went in for my 1-hr glucose test this morning, prepared for
the awful syrupy orange or cola-flavored drink I've heard so much about.
Instead, I just had to drink what tasted very much like a can of Sprite.
The nurse said that it's a fairly new formulation. So that's potentially
good news for anyone else going into their 26-28th week!

Cheers,
Laura

I had that "awful syrupy orange.... flavored drink" and I didn't find it all
that bad. It just tasted like orange pop, maybe a little bit sweeter. Then
again I've got a wicked sweet tooth :-)

I've heard of some places using candy, cant remember which kind, But they
measured the amount of sugar in it so it was equivalent to that of the
Dreaded Drink.

I have had this test done also and i drank the orange stuff. There is
nothing bad about it if you like orange pop because it is exactly what it
tastes like.

That's good - all I had heard were gag-inducing things about it,
but those probably fall under the category of exaggerated pregnancy
stories anyway. :^)
