Shouldn't that be proud mama Angela?

It's really nice to see everybody listed like this! Looks
like you have a lonely month in February, but who knows,
perhaps some lurkers or newbies come around to join you.

Thanks for the effor Brigitte!

I'm having a boy, if you want to add it to my "entry" :-) I hadn't realized
until I saw it in print how many October due dates there are out there! I
have lots of company in September too. It is exciting to think about all the
forthcoming announcements and birth stories--there will be lots of them!!

Can persistent lurkers/rare posters join this list???

I'm due sept 22 with a girl.

Little bit about me before I go back to lurk mode...

I'm 27, this is my second child. My first is 6.5 years old,
and excited about being a big brother. DH and I got
married this past November, and about a month after
we got married, I came up pregnant :) This is a second
marriage for both of us, but this is his first baby.

We are a military family (army for the curious), and I'm
looking forward to my birthing experience with them
(they are letting me write up a birth plan, and plan on
following it 100% *unless* there is a medical emergency)

I enjoy reading on the group, and have wanted to post
for quite some time, but lately I've become very very
shy, so I'm sticking to just lurking. I get a lot of
encouragement through this group even though I just
lurk....thank you!

Hugs

puts me at Sept 20.. How would you set me up on your calendar?? :-)

Thank you so much Brigitte. It is a little weird that we conceived during
the month that I was supposed to be due, but I'm just glad to move on. I
feel like I can now. :)

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one, Brigitte! Wasn't that way with me
in the first trimester, but it sure has been for some time (I'm 34
weeks today). DD sleeps with us, so we have to sneak around and have sex
in weird places anyway, and now the belly requires extra inventiveness..
All that plus the increased libido, wow!

Actually, I have a funny story that has to do with this increased libido
thing. Last night, DH got out of bed half asleep and went to use the
bathroom. When he didn't come back, I went to check and found him fast
asleep on the TV room couch! He was so used to being dragged there for
sex that he just went there automatically. He was surprised to wake up
there but hardly remembered it this morning - he just said he had some
vague idea he had to go there for some purpose. Poor guy, he doesn't
even expect to be able to go straight back to bed from the bathroom
without his wife ambushing him! :-D

Hi Megan,

I really don't mean to be rude by butting in on this thread, especially as
I've only been reading this group for the past two days, but I just wanted
to say congratulations to you and your DH, and wish you every luck for your
pregnancy. I read about Seoras in the blueyonder.discussion group at the
time, and was moved to tears on more than one occasion (especially when I
saw his site - what a beautiful little man, x).

Lots of love and luck.

Well, I don't have an *official* EDD yet, but my own *estimated* EDD
is April 10, 2004! It looks like April is starting to get a little
crowded!

(And you guys are the first to know, besides dh! I just couldn't keep
completely quiet any longer!)

I ended up telling some people who were also in the waiting room while
DH had toe surgery at the chiropodist's this afternoon. Mind you, I
had just come out of the doctor's office with a hand over my mouth
(having seen DH's toe!)

Of course I have the added difficulty of not having yet figured out
the answer to "is this your first" in my case. :-(

I think you can afford to choose whatever makes
you most comfortable depending on your situation and
what you think the real question is. If you're
discussing pregnancy issues, the question is probably
more about whether you've been through pregnancy
and childbirth before. If you're discussing sibling
rivalry, the question is probably more about how many
kids you have/will have at home. Also, I think you get
to decide what you want to discuss with whom. If you
don't feel like raising all the issues, you can say
it's your first. If you don't mind getting into it,
you can say it's your second. I don't think it's anyone's
business to hold you to any particular standard.

Best wishes,
Ericka
