28w today after 7 w on bedrest! The twins are doing great, so am I. It's
so hard to believe it when you make a milestone with all of the
uncertainty you face. 24w was my first (viability). 28 my next (good
survival rate) Now every day is just a better chance for fewer
complications. Hopefully w can make it to the 32-34w mark. I'm so
pleased. Looks like these babies are going to make it into the world
after all. Makes me kinda mad to think back to 20w when the
neonatologist came to my hospital room to give me the grim news that the
babies would not survive if born before 23-24w. Luckily I didn't let
that get me down. See, there's ALWAYS hope!!! Kim 28w

Don't you just want to go back to that guy and go 'neener! neener!' ?
I'm really glad you are doing so well Kim. Keep up the good rest
and let's hope the twins decide to stay put a fair bit longer.

Kimme,

That's awesome. I'm right behind you. 27 wks today. My doc told me
complete bed rest at 20 . . . but changed his mind. I'm ready for bed rest
NOW! :-) but gave work 6 more days. I am praying for the 34 week mark to
come and go.

Congratulations! And don't let dumb docs get you down.

Kim, please don't take this the wrong way ... but you may want to think
seriously about the wisdom of having nicknames THAT much alike. They're your
babies, of course, I'm just being a buttinski.

Actually, I have thought about the names sounding so much alike. Thats
why we will probably stick with Madison "formal" and Maggie "non
formal". I really wanted the names Madison and Taylor, but DH wanted
Margaret (his mothers name and also his grandmother who just passed last
week) and I gave in as I do like Maggie. DH is very into traditional
names vrs. "trendy" so I felt accomplished getting him to agree to
Madison. Anyone know when I get my next gold star? I'm wearing this one
proudly! Kim

Nah....don't give it a second thought! Idon't make it a habit of getting
mad. Lifes too darn short for that. Besides, I save that for my other 3
kids! He! He!
