I'm new to the group and just wanted to share my news with someone. I
promised husband that I wouldn't share the news with anyone, but I
don't know anyone here yet! I've taken 3 home tests this weekend and
all are positive! Anyhow, just wanted to introduce myself and say I'm
looking forward to all the advice, questions, ideas etc that I might
share/ask over the next few months. I'm calling my Dr. on Tuesday to
make an appt. I'm still in shock. My hubby and I weren't planning to
try until October. I even posted a question about how soon after your
period did you get pregnant. I guess I just had a hunch, but didn't
think it was real. I'm excited and nervous, this will be baby #1. At
what point did you all start needing maternity clothes? I'm petite, a
little worried about finding petite maternity, I'd appreciate some
suggestions on where to go.

Thanks.

First of all congratulations!
You have to tell someone your great news!
I am 5'3 petite, and with my 1st baby I didn't need maternity clothes till I
was 6 or so months, and when I found out I was pregnant my midwife told me I
was 3 months pregnant, but a u/s showed I was 5 months! I couldn't believe
it I was flat as a pancake! My son turned out to be 7 lbs 9 and a hlf, so
hid well.
Of course after the first baby all my other pregnancies showed early, due to
slacker muscles!

Congrats! As for maternity clothes, I think I was around 5-6 months
pregnant with #1 before I needed them.

I'm 7 months just today (baby #1) and am just starting to outgrow my
regular "fat" clothes (IFYWIM).

Congratulations!!! I know exactly how you feel; I
told this group first myself, before telling any
family or friends! You just feel like bursting
with the happy news. ;)
