Pain is very normal for the first period after a lap- imagine everything has
been rummaged around and various spots have been burned out to remove some
endo lesions. The blisters have healed, but the spots are still sore. Now
imagine it's all swollen with the onset of a period.... ouch! The fact that
some of the other symptoms are reduced is a good sign that within a few
periods she should see some improvement overall.
Endo is a nasty disease, and will in all likelihood return with time. Just
because she has had this treatment now doesn't mean this is it. Has the doc
recommended anything else to keep the endo under control, eg the pill?
You have a great endo association in Australia,
http://www.endometriosis.org.au/ You should be able to get more info from
them.
