My last baby was born with persistent pulmonary hypertension of the
newborn. He was hospitalized for several weeks, but is now a healthy
nine year old.
Now that I am pregnant again, and diagnosed with compound hetero
MTHFR, as well as PAI mutations, I am trying to find out if there is
any way my genetic issues could have been a risk factor for my son's
(previously unexplained) pulmonary issues at birth.
My OB says it's unlikely, but it actually makes sense to me.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
