Anyone else have this problem?

Before the pill, I was pretty regular, 30ish days per cycle kinda gal.
(Sometimes 28, sometimes 33, but fairly consistent). Went on the
pill at age 22, and was on the pill for 9 years (minus a gap of about
2 months when I was 24). Went off the pill and had approx 6 very
normal periods:

C#1 was 33 days iirc
C#2 was 29 days iirc
C#3-#4 were around 27 days iirc
C#5-#6 were around 25 days iirc (I know I noticed a trend of fewer
days developing)

Since then, I've had these EXTREME cycles-- about 55 days long. It
seems like my body keeps trying to ovulate (positive LH strips) and
then doesn't, and ovulation is pushed off. I did lose about 15 pounds
during C#6 and #7, but I'm not underweight or overweight particularly
(good BMI). What could be going on? I've started taking Vitex all
month long to try to shorten my cycles, but am really at loss here.
Makes BD really hard to time, too. Any thoughts?

Sometimes it can take a *really* long time to go back to normal after
the pill. I had nothing but total weirdness for about a year (coupled
with endo, too).
