Hello group.
I have a question, I have a ten month old son who has a long habbit of
shakking his head repeatedly reight to left motions as if he was
shakking his head no.

He is extremely smart, at 10 months he has learned to mimick my
movements on the mouse and the keyboard, and seems to have awsome hand
eye cordination at his age, although maybe every parent thinks the
same thing.

Can this be a symtom of Autism, or some other type of disorder, his
head shakking motions?

Thanks in Advance, Im not sure if this is the right group to post to
or not,

Robert

Sounds like a question for your pediatrician, you know, the person who knows
your son medically.

IF he didn't have his 9-month visit, now is a good time. If not, you can
either get a 12-month visit early or get a special visit. Of course, your
son probably won't make these movements for the doctor. Don't forget to make
video tapes for the doc.

Robert,

It's difficult to say. How much time does you child spend doing this? Is
this something that happens occasionally? Or does it fill a significant
part of his day?

Some kids develop certain behaviors that don't necessarily signify
autism or other problems.
