View Full Version : Please take our home safety survey

Survey
November 9th 03, 01:14 AM
Hi!
I represent a team of University of Michigan researchers who are
studying people's thoughts on various home safety devices. To better
understand our topic we have developed an on-line survey. The survey
is completely anonymous and confidential.
If you could take 8-10 minutes to complete it, it would be greatly
appreciated.

To take the survey, go to:
http://entrypage.hrgems.com/HomeSafety/

Thank you for your time!

If you are really U of M researchers, you should already know that on-line
surveys have major difficulties because they don't reach all people (only
people with internet access) and there are major self-selection bias.

They would also have a URL that read something along the lines of
"~michigan.edu".

I fully understand that. Due to time and budget constraints, we can't go
door to door, run a phone poll or send out a mailing. We're just trying to
get as many responses as possible from at least a varied age group.

The University of Michigan uses @umich.edu for domain extensions
(www.umich.edu is UM's web-site). We used HRGems to publish the survey
because they offered us there services for free. We could have built a
survey site through the University but chose the free option. The owner of
HRGems is an alumni and offers his site to us free of charge.
