Jill
A friend of DH's and myself was on bedrest because she started having
contractions and preterm labor at about 21 weeks- that rattled my nerves. I
was so worried for her....poor thing went to the emergency room after her OB
didn't think the pains were a problem and ended up having to stay...

Mary
March 19, 2004
Responding to research that shows concentrations of mercury are
significantly higher in the albacore tuna than the canned "light" tuna,
the government advised potentially vulnerable consumers today to eat

Pregnancy and ocd by
Paula
I suffer from ocd which at the present time I am handling without
meds. Now, I am 18+wks with my second child and have been
experiencing a huge upswing in my ocd symptoms in the last three days.
Has anyone else noticed any dramatic mood swings at this point in
their pregnancies ocd or no? Up to...

officially on maternity leave!!! yipppeee! by
pcb
I've officially started my maternity leave today! Technically it has to
start on a Sunday. I'm also starting my 38th week today. I still have
some work to do (grading papers and materials development), but I can
easily do it here at home and then mail/e-mail it back. Although I
enjoy my job,...

How much movement is normal? by
M Wayne
Hi all,
I'm nearly 22 weeks pg and for the last week and a half little Harry has
really been moving a lot, like he's taking karate lessons in my belly. Lots
of kicks and somersaults. Today though he's been unusually quiet, and
although I did feel occasional kicks throughout the day, it just...

when does the 1st trimester exhaustion subside? by
[email protected]
Hi, I'm now in my 15th week and my mild (I was lucky) nausea
disappeared about a week or two ago, but the mind-numbing exhaustion
is still here - I thought that the exhaustion would disappear at the
same time the nausea did, but it didn't - anyone know when the
exhaustion will go away?

Five months on by
Linz
Well, it's five months now since YoungBloke arrived (2 weeks ahead of
schedule) and changed our lives. I thought I'd let you know how he's
doing and then head off out of mkp on account of shortness of time.
He was born weighing 7lb 7oz (3.37kg) and had doubled his weight by
the time he was 3...

happy: sickness seeming to subside by
B. Felix
This group hardly knows me, but I'm happy and I think most of the rest
of the world might be tired of hearing about my pregnancy. Since you
don't really know me you're under less pressure to say, "Uh, that's
nice, but why are you telling me this." :)
Well, I'm still very tired and unenergetic with...

"Baby on board" signs by
J Asking
Is it true that the purpose of "Baby on board" signs on cars is to
alert rescue and medical personnel that an infant is in the car, in
the event the driver of that car causes a serious accident?

Too quick / easy to prescribe fertility drugs? by
ted
When my DD was about 8 months old, I went to see my OB for annual
Papsmear. We chatted for sometime. He asked me about birthcontrol. I
told him I'm not trying to stop getting pg because I want my kids to
be close in age. I told him I got my AF almost from 4 months pp but
it's been very erratic. His...
