Young men are saying they want their wives to work to provide a second

at home has for the child.

"straining" while pregnant (sorry for topic) by
DL
Hello,
I'm six weeks along with my first and I'm wondering about straining
during bowel movements. Can they cause any harm? I was very blocked
this morning and sleepy (I'm still at that point when every morning I
get to "remember" I'm pregnant), and I really strained before I
realized I probably...

"teaching your baby to read" by
Shena Delian O'Brien
Anyone read this book by Dr.'s Doman? My DH was taught using this method
as a child and was reading everything in the house by age 3. They
couldn't stop him or nearly keep up with his appetite for books! He's
the same way today and re-reads books if he runs out of new ones. He
graduated high school...

Teen births decline, report shows

"toilet mastery" problems by
Nancy
My daughter turned 3 last month. Not long before that, she appeared to
have mastered the toilet fully. No accidents for 3 or 4 weeks,
although still wearing a diaper at night, of course.
Suddenly, it all ended over a 2-day period, without any precipitating
incident, lifestyle changes, etc., and...

"too posh to push" by
sleepy67
I found out about a week ago that my brother and sister in law are expecting
their first child. We all wondered if she would ever actually get pregnant,
because of her fear of childbirth (something her darling mother instilled in
her). Well, they finally did it, woohoo! but, she is insisting that...

"twinges" at 10 weeks? by
ted
I'm only at 10 weeks. I sometimes feel little twinges in my stomach.
like a little push or jerk. I dont' know how to describe them. It's
somewhat like you feel when you are in your 34th week or so. It's as
if the baby has kicked you or something. But I know it's wayyyy too
early for any such thing....

Up in the laundry
Most of today's new homes are built with finished laundry rooms near
either the bedrooms or the kitchen, instead of in the basement,
according to metropolitan-area interior designers.

Because it would be hard for a non-existent being to take any kind of position on the matter.
However, that's irrelevant.

Okay, that's fine.
But now we're introducing solids, I swear he would eat a whole pumpkin
( or whatever ) if I let him. So it is I that ends the session --- or
should I let him dictate this ??

# of ultrasounds--question by
annafine
I'm 35 weeks pregnant and have only had 2 ultrasounds. The first was
at 10 weeks and the second at 18 weeks. I've been asking my OB about
another, but she won't request one unless she feels it medically
necessary.
My question is, how many ultrasounds have you had, and when (# of
weeks) did you...
