No fluid/20 week induction update by
Emily
Hi,
We saw the perinatologist this morning. She was very kind,
and took lots of time with us and answered all of our questions.
We took another look at the baby on the u/s and saw absolutely
no fluid this time. It seems that (on top of everything else,
and probably not unrelatedly) I'm leaking...

feeding kids junk food by
na
I am just wondering why other people insist on feeding my child things with
out asking the parents first?
My issue is sugar, My daughter turns into a hyperactive whirlwind while she
is on sugar, and when she comes down she is bitter, hateful, and angry. Yet
grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends...

He weight in at 9 pounds 12 ounces, and I forget his length (but it's

The birth story, plus gory details... ;-)

Heck of an ultrasound by
Nikki
I had my ultrasound today.
We wanted to find out the sex because I've been hoping for a girl. Well it
is boy - actually it is...
Two boys. Twins. I'm not really ready for that. The excitement hasn't hit
yet since I'm not done freaking out ;-). Baby A has a cyst on the brain but
that is the...

Pondering on pain relief....during labor by
Jill
I am planning to start TTC in May of 2005. It really all depends on when
Rachel weans so it may be a bit after that-I'm not weaning her to have a
second, but at 1 year when she can have regular milk I plan to start the
weaning if she hasn't already. I am not even planning on TTC before she is...

I'm a little lost by
Shena Delian O'Brien
Ok, I know this isn't quite the forum for it but I really need to vent.
In Dec. 2002 my husband lost his lucrative tech job as a software
developer. He was making good money and he had been getting job offers
while he was employed so he figured that he would find a new job within
a few months....

toxoplasmosis by
Rob
I'm just having a little argument with my wife about toxoplasmosis. She
insists pregnant women should not clean a cat litter box because of
toxoplasmosis (note: this is just an academic debate, she is not pregnant).
I think that if the cats are house cats and are not allowed out of the
house, then...

Car accident last night by
Sophie
Geez what a pain.
I was leaving base about 5:30 pm to get the kids dinner (Dylan's away,
didn't feel like cooking). I passed one accident, didn't know the car in
front of me was stopping (as opposed to slowing down) for an accident in
front of us and I hit him. Luckily there were tons of police,...

In which we already know
the sad ending
The story begins with a high AFP reading at 16 weeks and a diagnosis
of moderately decreased amniotic fluid at our 17 week ultrasound. The

Good news, and more good news! by
Ilse Witch
Today is so totally my day!!
/bounce bounce bounce
The u/s this morning showed two babies with two heartbeats. Each had grown
well and both are right on track. Baby B is still slightly smaller than
baby A, which would match exactly the fact that I ovulated on two
consecutive days. The fertility...

Baby born during transatlantic flight by
Melania
A Jordanian woman gave birth on a flight from Amsterdam to Chicago
yesterday. When it became apparent that she was going to have the
baby, they diverted the flight to St. John's, Newfoundland, which is
why the story is on CBC.
I guess this is why they don't like you to fly late in the...

Middle name help by
Nic H
We're having some trouble coming up with a suitable middle name *sigh* we
are having a little bubba girl in August, and decided on Micaela. Spelling
it this way, because the Mikayla I knew as a kidback home got the nickname
"Kayla" and we both hate that.
I'm not into "traditional" type names at...
