Christmas Family Letter...What Would You Do? by
dejablues
DH brought home a copy of a family newsletter that his mom is planning to
send out as a greeting this Christmas season. There are several glaring
errors that I would wish to correct . Would it be awful of me to email my
MIL and point out these errors?
I wouldn't care, usually, but she's probably...

My daughter is interested in taking piano lessons and I have no idea what
they
run privately. I realize prices differ region to region but I'm trying to
get a
ballpark number.
Thanks!

Reflux starting at age eight? by
dejablues
Has anyone ever had an older child develop reflux? I know it's not uncommon
in babies and adults, and DS8 has been fine until now - he's in 2nd grade.
He's had a rough school year attendance-wise, he's missed twelve days and
that's not counting the days where I picked him up early, because he...

From the Herald Sun in Australia:
ACTOR Holly Hunter is having twins. She is 47 and this is her first
pregnancy.
Hunter was lucky because her biological clock was well and truly sounding

A little confused -- this flu thing??? by
dejablues
Weren't people in high risk groups supposed to have gotten them several
months ago? Then the leftovers would have been for the lower-risk people.
In non-severe flu years, those lower-risk people would have been okay with
no shot, but they say this is a bad year. SO............shots for all!

Funny things kids do... by

We got our cat drunk on bourbon. She ran around the house like crazy for
half an hour then slept til the next day. Mom never found out, and the cat
survived and lived to the ripe old age of 21!
PS: My brothers and I are all cat-lovers to this day.

What's wrong about getting a tattoo??? You can't get one anyway til you're
18 (well, I guess you could get a "jailhouse tattoo" with pen ink and a
razor before , if you did it yourself!) If a kid wants to get one after
they're 18, it's really none of the parents concern!
Most people with tattoos...

Military recruiters..any moms of teenage males here? by

I don't know how if this is usual, but my OS, 15, has gotten a couple of

January, said that recruiters have been calling him at home! They asked him

Kids names, revisited by

I got to chaperone the K1 field trip today (hay ride to the pumpkin patch at
a local farm, lots of fun) so I got to meet all of the little ones
(kindergarteners are the best!) . I got a kick out of their names, all
fairly traditional. This is a Catholic school, btw.
