The best of Nature by
blacklight
Hi Group Members!
We went online with www.rent-a-cloud Nature's Video Ecards. We think
they are pretty unique. Running suns and wandering skies over gorgeous
landscapes. Lots of nature photos too. All FREE to send away - because
we love kids. Nothing to sell, no ads, no fishing for addresses....

nutrition question on year old by
blacksalt
I'm new at this, so I'm reading some books. The consensus seems that
after a year of age you change from formula to milk. When reading about
iron, the books say "use iron fortified cereal". The baby cereal and the
formula are both iron fortified. However, I'd rather start moving into
whole grains...

cat scratches by

Is there anything to worry about with these scratches? I've read about
"cat scratch fever," but anything else? (He's an indoor, healthy cat.)
My biggest worry would be a down right mauling when the cat gets sick of
it. If it were my cat, I'd protect it from maulings from baby,...

If anyone knows of a school online or correspondence courses that are free,
please write. There is very little money, and our town does not really have

young for that.
I'd search google. I...

What is the difference between PTO and PTA?
Anyone know?
In my area (Ohio USA) there are some schools that are PTA and some that are

From what my ex-SIL (heavily involved in a PTO) said, the Organization

When NO is funny. by
blacksalt
Almost one year old baby gets the giggles over "no" even if said
sternly, even if removed from the object. I cringe at seeing people swat
babies hands.
Ignoring doesn't work either...he just happily keeps at it, but he seems
to take No as an extra special treat. In truth, he laughs over...

reading to a book vandal by
blacksalt
Since I have no experiance raising children, I'm reading alot of books
about babies. Many encourage "reading" to even very little ones. My 11
month old wants to bend, spindle, and mutilate every book he gets near,
and as he gets stronger, he's doing more damage. How does one "read" to
a little one...

Pick your own farms - for strawberries, blueberries, apples, pumpkins, etc. by

I just saw an old note here asking about where to find a pick your own
farm (U-pick, PYO) for strawberries, and I thought I'd add that you
can find a pick your own farm or orchard for fruit (strawberries,
blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, apples, etc.) and vegetables,
pumpkins, Christmas...

15 month son won't eat table foods by

How can I get my 15 month old to eat table foods? He eats his jar food
just find but not table food. We've tried everything - diced fruits and
veggies but he won't eat it. I tried cooking food, the Gerber Graduates
stuff, Beech-Nut table time and he doesn't eat it. He'll only eat stage 2
