water makes me ill by
Elitsirk
I'm right at 8 weeks now, and MS is starting to really kick in, I
think :(. I haven't actually thrown up that often (2 times in the
last week I think), but I just feel ill most days.
Lately I've noticed that one of the things that makes me feel ill is
water(!). I used to drink a lot of water all...

I hate this (visitors unplanned) by
Jill
Argh- pet peeve! When it takes me forever to get the baby to sleep for a nap
and then the doorbell rings, and it is someone uninvited who doesn't call
before they come etc. And I'm like "Oh, this is not a good time..it took me
FOREVER to get the baby to nap and she just fell asleep..." And they...

First let me apologise for not posting any earlier - it's been a traumatic

and apparently their diary was full the next week and a half. So...

Driving - any need to stop? by
Iseult
Hi guys,
Did any of you feel the need to stop driving towards the end of your
pregnancies? I'm 32 weeks now and feeling fine. My husband *hates*
driving but does not want to pressure me into doing all the driving
(no long distance necessary, all local driving) - I'm telling him that
as long as I...

it drives me nuts.... by
Anne Rogers
recently I've met several women who have had scheduled c-sections for their
first babies, for fairly intangible reasons, such as not fancying an
induction, or the baby might be too big, etc. if it were at a different
hospital in a different place I wouldn't exactly feel thrilled, but at least
it...

I'm officially "retiring" by
Em
Well, Lann is going to be 2 months old on Friday (I can't believe it!) and
I've decided it is time for me to "retire" into lurkerdom. I still really
enjoy reading this group, but I can't quite manage to keep up with it
lately. Lann keeps me quite busy and what energy remains I'm focusing on...

Contraction Timer? by
Chaneski
hi,
My wife is due... well, any day now... and while I feel perfectly confident to
time her contractions with my wris****ch, I wonder if there isn't something
better out there. I had an idea for a timer that would log the length of, say,
10 contractions in a row, so that I could measure progress....

I am planning on breastfeeding DD when she is born in Nov. and I need
some help figuring out how to do it! I bf DS for about two months and I
really wish I could have kept it up a little longer. I weaned him
because at the time it was really what I felt was best for me and him.

Hair Dye by

How dangerous would it really be for me to cover up the grey in my hair right
now? I'm 31 weeks pregnant and what I use is the Clairol Natural Instincts
(it's Level 2 and supposedly washes out in about 24 shampoos.). It's bad
enough being pregnant and swollen without having yucky roots too (not...

Never Using a Bottle, Is it Possible? by

I read the other day that when your child is able to eat solids, they should
also drink from a cup.
Morgan is going to be ready soon for solids, but has never used a bottle.
Can you go directly to a sippy cup? Is that possible??

Yesterday it became full-blown bleeding so I pretty much knew what today's
u/s would show and indeed it did. I miscarried. If there is any good news
out of this, I am passing everything out and won't need a D&C. Thanks for
all of the kind words and in a couple of weeks we're back to...

Do Chinese Gender Charts work? by
Karen P
Are they accurate? I know people who swear by them, and say they are
virtually 100% accurate in predicting the gender of their baby. I
looked at it for fun, but get confused when it has me figuring "lunar
age". If I did it right then it would be correct for my first child.
What do you all...
