Does pro-choice apply to child support?

The abortion group is full of zealous pro-choice men, while right
next door, the child support group looks like a he-man woman haters
club.

In the abortion group, a pro-choicer is labeled as every terrible
thing known to man and woman. And yet, in the freely accessible
child support group, a "woman's right to choose" is used as a club
to beat up on women asking about child support.

afford to raise the child on their own.

So why does a pro-choicer zealously support a woman's right to
choose, at the same time he is dead silent when men use pro-choice
as a weapon against women asking about child support?

Do you agree that pro-choice means a woman has all the
responsibility for raising a child since she had the right to choose
abortion instead? Do you not care that your pro-choice argument is
being used to beat up on women asking for child support?

Cry havoc, and let loose the mental gymnasts!

So because a woman made the poor choice to have unprotected sex, it's OK to
murder the baby or worse yet have the sex partner support her for the next
18 years?

I think that if the woman wants to raise the child with no interference from
the man, she should support the child in every way by herself--including
financially. If she is willing for the father to have 50/50 shared custody
(default option) or another parenting plan where the 2 of them sit down and
work out how to make sure both parents are fully involved in the child's
life, then child support (including what dad will need to care for the child
when the child is with him) can be worked out at that time. I don't think
that either a man or a woman should get a legal free ride on the back of the
other.

Nobody says it is okay to murder babies.

He made a poor choice when he decided to have unprotected sex.

A classic anti-choice argument.

As did she. Yet, the woman isn't hounded to the ends of the Earth for her
folly now is she? It isn't she who is hunted, has her name plastered around
the world, her name slandered, her credit ruined, her pay taken at the point
of a gun. Nor does the woman face near certain incarceration if she is
indigent and cannot pay.

Equality under the law, my ass.

So did she. Now *both* of them need to step up and *be parents*--and each
needs to allow the other to be a parent, too. Mom being the parent and dad
paying for it is not the solution. 50/50 joint custody should be the
default position.

The U.S. Supreme Court said it is okay to murder babies even the most
repulsive late term abortion that can occur during delivery.

He made a poor choice when he decided to have unprotected sex.

Making the choice to have unprotected sex is never the same as consenting to
pay child support for 18-21 years. CS is the result of a unilateral
decision by a woman to give birth and seek government sanctions against the
father.
