month old girl whos does any help would be great.

I was just thinking that! Then again, my son didn't walk until 19 months and
my 8 month old daughter is nowhere near walking so maybe I'm just jealous of
this mummy with the super early walker? LOL

On the off-chance that it was supposed to be 19 and not 9 months, you guide
the sleepwalker back to their bed. It is not dangerous to wake a sleep
walker - that's an old wives' tale. DS used to have night terrors and this
puts him at risk of sleep walking later so I did some research. It may even
be safer to wake a sleep walker, particularly if they get themselves near
stairs or turn on the oven or hot plates, get into the refrigerator and then
mysteriously start piling on weight but don't remember eating, etc. With a
toddler sleepwalking it's best to just close their bedroom door and make
sure there is nothing lying on the ground that they can trip over. You can
lay out a mattress or blanket on the floor so they have a spot to go to
sleep if they are too short to get themselves back into bed. The
sleepwalking would indicate that the child is in a normal bed. You might
want to put her back in a cot so she can't get out, unless she's a climber,
in which case leave her in the normal bed, lay out a mattress or blanket for
her to sleep on after she gets out of bed, make sure there are no toys or
other objects on the floor so she can't trip and hurt hurself and close the
door so she can't leave the room and get into trouble.

If she's just getting out of bed and sleepily walking to your room and
getting in your bed - that's not sleepwalking. That's normal toddler
behaviour who wants to be with mummy and/or daddy.
