Why does it seem so much harder to keep this pregnancy a secret?! Last
time, we held out till I was 13 weeks. This time, I think half the world
knows! Today at coffee group we were talking about getting pregnant, as 2
of the other ladies are. Someone asked me when we were thinking of having
another one, so I said December! I wish I could have held out for a few
more weeks, but it is too exciting!

Actually we told so early with #1 - after the Dr confirmed it a 6 weeks. So
with each pregnancy after we waited longer and longer to tell. I think I
was almost 20 weeks this time.

I was too excited and told people at 4-5 weeks as soon as it was confirmed.
I will NEVER tell that early again! From here on out I am waiting until
after the first trimester, I learned my lesson.

Well, with Brian, we didn't tell anyone until about 14 weeks or so-but I was
about there before my first OB appointment because I had mistaken
implantation bleeding for a period, and therefore didn't realize I was
pregnant until I was about 10 weeks along, and it took almost a month to get
an OB appointment because my GYN wasn't listed for OB under my insurance
plan.

This time, I started letting people know as soon as the home test was
confirmed by the doctor (at 4 weeks), because I needed people to hold my
hand-that and, it was the only logical explaination for why I suddenly ended
up on bedrest, and I didn't know when this started that I was only going to
be on bedrest a few days. (More implantation bleeding).

I have a friend with 4 children. She said that for the first 2 people were
really excited. Then by 3 and 4 people started giving odd reactions -
you're having how many children?!. I bet she told later too (but then I
wish I was keen on 4 kids - money at this stage won't allow it).

That is what worries me. I just can't seem to come up with a good answer
this time that isn't a lie, but isn't quite the whole truth.

I think that is why I want to tell people - sympathy for feeling like crap!
Pleased your bedrest was only a few days.
