Jesse Green
GREEN, Jesse W., 80, of New Port Richey, Fla., died Friday, April 14,
2006, at home under the care of Hernando-Pasco Hospice. He was born in
Dade City, Fla., and came to this area 39 years ago from Chiefland,
Fla. He was a track foreman for CSX Railroad, Tampa division, for 43
years, and a World War II U.S. Army veteran. he was a member of Church
of God, New Port Richey, National Association of Retired Federal
Employees, New Port Richey Chapter, and Retired Brotherhood of
Maintenance Waymen. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy;
two daughters, Nora Gainey of Port Richey and Janice Dennison of
Holiday; two brothers, Daniel Giddens of Land O' Lakes, Fla., and
Arthur Giddens of Raleigh, N.C.; seven grandchildren and 13
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dora
Bazzle. The famil will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at
Michels ' Lundquist Funeral Home, 5228 Trouble Creek Road, New Port
Richey, where funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday,
followed by military honors and burial at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens,
New Port Richey.
