Too, federal law limits the total amount
of
deduction for child
support.

I think you meant, Federal law limits the wage withholding for CS.

Yep.

You misunderstood the question...

How much would Wife #1 with 4 children get, and how much would Wife #2
with 1 child get?

ie, if I can expect 30% of my pay reduced... would wife #1 get 75% of

it
and wife #2 get 25% of it?

The pay isn't much concern for me at the moment, what I am
concentrating
on is making sure wife #2 gets as little as of it as possible.

You will be a serial CS payer. If wife #1 has the first CS order, and CS
for 4 children is 29%, she will get the 29%. Then wife #2 gets a CS

order,
and if CS for 1 child is 17%, she will get 17% of the remaining 81% - so

she
will get about 13.8% of your total gross income.

It all depends on who's CS order was in existance first.

That being the case, he should pray that #2 files first to minimize the
damage.
[the math works out to 71%, not 81%]

You're correct - my math was off.

Concept stays the same, though

Two Mothers...

Mother #1, three children
Mother #2, one child

How is child support most likely to be calculated and who is most

likely
to get how much of what?

If you have 4 kids, that's going to be pretty expensive no matter
which
state you live in.
I would budget for about 70% of your take home pay.

Hope you have a good paying job to keep yourself out of prison!
BTW, why not ask your lawyer how much the rate is?

Oh yeah, here's something for anybody in Colorado.
Now, most of you know about the JDF 1403, which is the form used to
modify a child support award. It's posted at
http://www.courts.state.co.us/chs/co...ildsupport.htm
However, what a lot of people might not know is that there is another
form, JDF 1111 and JDF 1111S, the sworn financial statements. Can;t
Steal Enough won't inform you of them (after all, why would they inform
you of something that might actually help you?)
Now, directly, bills aren't supposed to impact child support, but here's
the kicker: Colorado law specifically allows a deviation if the child
support would push the NCP to poverty level. Plus, if that form is
there, than it has to have some justification. So that's where you put
your bills.
Now, these are sworn financial statements, so don't go making numbers up
out of thin air. You can list all of your bills here and the judge is
going to have to at LEAST look at the documents.

Since when does a judge ever concider an NCP's financial burden!

First they impute your income upward to what they think you should be
making, then they impute her income downward from where it really is, and
you magically owe more than what you make.
BTW, they'll tell us to get a second job to pay our fair share, they'll also
take a chunk of that too!

I see some of these deadbroke Dads that owe $200,000 in arrearages, does
that mean they earned $800,000 or more?

Look at this cockroach that gets himself elected for coming down hard on
Deadbroke fathers, but doesn't tell anything of how they collect the funds
and at the extortionate rates they charge.

Default Child Support Calculation Question

Lovely. I love this quote:
"[t]he fundamental flaw in Dubay's claim is that he fails to see that
the State played no role in the conception or birth of the child in this
case, or in the decisions that resulted in the birth of the child."

Oh, and I'm sure they write down the names and addresses of every mother
who abandons her child at the firehouse or at a hospital, just to make
sure the state, which "played no role in the conception or birth of the
child in this case", didn't have to pick up the entire tab of foster care.

Good point!

And the Mother gets this choice why?
