Cold herbals in pregnancy
Alright, enough is enough This is the second full week I have had
congestion and a light sore throat. Last Friday I thought that I was getting better, but whammo today. I've restarted Sudafed, tylenol, and the Echinacea tea. My question is simple: what herbal rememdies (and I am not going to do the garlic regime, Jenrose ) have worked for you? I have some Zicam nasal spray in the cupboard......Help!? This is the week I have offered to work extra, too, of course. Kelly #4 2/12/05 |

Hot liquids work for me. Congestion is rarely a problem for me as I have a mechanical aid (CPAP) which makes congestion minimized. Jenrose |

Have you tried head over a bowl of steaming water with essential oils of Eucalyptus and lavender? Komvita lozenges with Manuka honey Hot lemon drinks with fresh ginger and a crushed panadol are always soothing too. Hope you feel better soon. Andrea |

Lots of hot tea (with lemon, even though I usually don't take it that way), or other hot, clear liquids, plus gargling with salt water. It's a short term help, but you can do it as often as you need and it *does* help. Best wishes, Ericka |

well, I happened to see my midwife today when I had to go to Maternity to
pick up some meds for my patient (our medication dumbwaiter is down the hall in maternity) so I asked her. Same stuff I've been doing, but added some Claritin non-drowsy. I took some at 2pm today-am a tish better, but if this goes on further I am going to assume it is a sinus infection and ask for something else. Thanks for the tips!
