three year old birthday parties
Water slides (you know, the slip and slide thing you attach to a hose),
painting, coloring, clowns, pinatas. Jeff "Stephanie" wrote in message om... I was thinking of inviting 3-5 kids friends and their parents, supplying some toys, having cake and ice cream and calling it good. What do you think? Any particularly fun ideas for three year olds and multi-aged friends? One family I want to invite has 3 kids. The oldest is 6. He is the reason I want to invite this family. He and DS play well together and DS asks about them a lot. He always wants to invite them over. All ideas welcome. Thanks S |

For a three-year old, run it just like a nursery school session. Start out with a well-defined craft. A good one to start with could be something like finger-painting with food-colored unscented shaving cream on a table outdoors, or crayons or playdough. (Even bigger kids enjoy these activities.) From there, move on to a circle-song game like Old MacDonald, or "If You're Happy and You Know It". Do a few of those. Then story time, wirth a good picture book. Then cake, and conclude with some free play, outdoors if possible. I've run a few 2- and 3- year old parties this way, and they were lots of fun. Of course, there are other ways that work as well; I just haven't tried them myself. --Beth Kevles http://web.mit.edu/kevles/www/nomilk.html -- a page for the milk-allergic Disclaimer: Nothing in this message should be construed as medical advice. three year old birthday parties
I would personally have at least two or three planned games or crafts to do.
Just letting them run around with toys sounds like a huge mess to me and not something I would enjoy. I always had a theme for the girls parties and took it from there. -- Sue mom to three girls Stephanie wrote in message om...
