miscarriage and now?

Hi there.

I would like to ask u guys ur experiences... hopefully there are very few
with such a situation behind.

About 2 weeks ago I had a miscarriage (first at home and next day i got a
curetage at hospital with complications till now)... The bleeding stopped
after 6-7 days and i feel "fine". Since 3 days ago I'm suffering really bad
headaches (i have to say that i almost never get one). I also gotta say
that I'm not staying home and resting enough but, if i do i feel worse with
the much thinking, u know.

Well, the point is... we want THAT MUCH to have another baby .. from many
people i've heard that after amiscarriage ur chances of pregnancy are much
higher but... how trustable is that?... how can i calculate when will i
ovulate? I have no clue how my cycle is now .. We had twice relations
already after that, at day 10 and 14 after hospital....


Does someone have info to share with me?

I would love to know more and hopefully, get pregnant soon again.

You probably need to have one regular cycle before you'll be able to
conceive. The hormones spike in the body with pregnancy and then need time
to level off again. If you were pretty regular before with your cycles,
just give it time to get back to normalcy and then start trying again.

I got pregnant with Shiny 19 days after a miscarriage.

How far along were you? Everyone is different, and it may depend on how
far into the pregnancy you were.

My own experience - missed m/c at 6wks, discovered at 11wks, D&E at 12
weeks. Bled heavily for 2 wks after that. And then again ~3 days
lightly every 2 wks for 6 wks (ie 3 times) before I had a normal period
at 2 months post D&E, which was last week.

My OB and midwife both said initially to wait for 2 full cycles before
trying again, just to make sure my body had fully recovered. DH and I
both agreed it was wise to wait at least 2 months to make sure....the
specialist we saw recently though, so not to worry about the 2 full
cycles, as long as I had one "real" cycle.


I'm really sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is, and the
desperate desire to have a baby. Make sure you're both emotionally and
physically ready before trying again.
