Foster parent cared for many
Foster parent cared for many
By Ashley Gerwig TRIBUNE-REVIEW Monday, February 2, 2004 In her time, Dolores Bodnar loved more than 50 babies as though they were her own. Dolores E. Bodnar, of Upper St. Clair, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, after a brief illness. She was 67. Mrs. Bodnar cared for more than 45 infants as a foster parent in addition to raising five children of her own. She cared for years for babies removed from abusive homes or other bad situations, said Mrs. Bodnar's daughter Janet Jones. In some cases, the children had been pulled from garbage cans or were marked by cigarette burns. Mrs. Bodnar nurtured the children until a permanent home could be found. In some cases, the babies stayed for months. In others, they stayed only a few weeks. http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/trib.../s_177469.html Defend your civil liberties!
