Default Anti-Depressants

Has anyone took anti-depressants or anti-psychotis during pregnancy ?
What medication and dosage ?

I have a 10-20% chance of going thru it again and I am so afraid ...
I had a severe panic attack the 22nd and that is how I found out I
was pregnant again....In the ER...If it's bad now, What will happen
when my hormones suddenly drop after the birth ?

I have taken Prozac 25mg daily for months six and seven, then switched to
Zoloft (50mg daily) because midwife told me Zoloft is better while
breastfeeding. I am now 39 weeks and baby very healthy. Other kids are
healthier too because mommy is happy. I din't have any side effects with
the Prozac (I much preferred it), so if you aren't planning on breastfeeding
I would go with that. The Zoloft has had some weird effect on my hearing
(ambient noises are amplified) and gives me awful night sweats, and I
certainly didn't need another sleep interupter while huge and preg. already.
I plan on switching back to Prozac when the baby is six months or so-I've
read that with the baby eating less and weighing more at that age, the
potency it receives is safe. Good luck.

I am 36ww 3dd today and since before being pg I have been on Paxil 60
mg/day. In my first trimester I had to add Remeron 22.5 mg/day and both my
OB and my psychiatrist assured me that they are safe during pregnancy. And
my baby is doing absolutely fine.
There is a lot of literature around about the concentration of these drugs
in the breast milk, but after discussing it with the pediatrician and the
psychiatrist, I decided to use formula.
About the sudden changes in the hormonal levels after birth, because I am at
risk, the only thing that my Drs are doing is to keep a close eye on me. And
I have to admit that it is very reassuring.

I hope you feel better soon.

Love
