BSD message board

could you tell us the purpose of the board?

Oh...I'm sorry. =) I just figured that most here have been to my
birth diaries site and so knew about it at least...

I've visited the site multiple times, but probably not since you added the
board.

purpose of the board...
it's to bring together expectant and new parents with each other as
well as with professionals such as doulas and childbirth educators and
midwives to share and discuss all topics related to childbirth and
postpartum issues.

We talk about everything from childbirth classes to labor and delivery
to breastfeeding...
to a list of 'controversial topics" such as circumcision, childbirth
choices, family chocies, etc.

so, in what way is it different from these newsgroups?

It's not really that different....except that it's mine. =)

(that's the truthful answer. I mean...what's the difference from one
message board to the next?? Not a lot...not much at all...just
differenet 'flavors' and users....)

well usenet has no owner, so in someways, it is "ours", which personally I
think I'll stick with

there definitely are a place for message boards, it would be fab if there
was a thriving area based one, or on a more specific topic.

the other problem with message boards is I tend to find them much less
readable than newsgroups.
