stiff new cloth diapers - help?

I recently switched DS to large Chinese pre-folds from weebees.com.
They are *so* much more stiff than his small diapers were. Anyone
have tips for getting them to soften up more quickly? They are
causing a rash on his tummy.

IIRC, it took about 5 hot wash/hot dry cycles to get ours nice and
soft and fluffy. The unbleached type take even more washings. I've
heard that you can boil them for a few minutes and then wash them -
never tried it though.

Thanks. They have already been through 6-7 washes - some with vinegar.
I guess I just have to keep washing....
