Default OT cardiology appointment

Given I mentioned it, I thought some would like to hear an update.

It was as I expected, more tests are needed. I suppose before I went
there was either the hope that it would be declared normal, or at least
an acceptable variation of normal, but no, it's definitely abnormal and
needs further investigating, I'm to get a monitor to wear for 48 hours
tomorrow and do a stress echo, the first available appointment for that
was 4 weeks away.

Tips I've picked up here were useful, and I watched the doctor to see
her response, sense of urgency etc. the feeling I got was that there is
a small risk of an acute event occurring in the short term and she gave
me details of what to do and when to call the clinic. She seemed
concerned to get to the bottom of it as the long term affect on my heart
of it behaving as it is now is not good for it in the long term and
checking through medications, lifestyle factors etc there are no causes
there.

Jamie, I'm so grateful for you posting about what happened to your
husband, it really helped me pick out events that are significant,
getting the EKG done last week was purely based on having spotted it as
a recommendation from another test, not symptoms, current or historical,
now I realise I have both.

Cheers
Anne

I'm so glad that you are having it looked after. Hopefully it will be
nothing, and if not nothing, something easily treatable. Please keep us in
the loop. Sending happy heart thoughts your way.
