My daughter is now 2. I was wondering if anyone had any advise on getting rid of a passifier(passy)(nuk)(whatever you call it) I don't want her to bee stuck on it till she is 3-4. We are having a hard time thanks!! You should probably post this to misc.kids since very few parents are still hanging around here. Does she use the pacifier a great deal? Perhaps you can see if she will limit it to naps and bedtime when she needs comfort and gradually wean her from it. Since my son never had one and my dd gave it up on her own, I think you should follow your child's lead in this, but I know other parents have used other techniques such as making a big deal about it on a birthday or having a *pacifier fairy* who collects them when she turns three and leaves a gift in it's place like the tooth fairy does with teeth. -- Dorothy There is no sound, no cry in all the world that can be heard unless someone listens ..
