My oldest daughter (she is 13) recieved a liver transplant. What a
rollercoaster ride it was in the early years, but she is healthy and happy.
I am so thankful for her second chance at life. )

You come across as a very strong person. Good for you for being so
strong for your family. And welcome the teenage years

Aww, thank you. Must be the Irish in me ;o) I think I'm going to need to be
very strong to deal with the teenage years, especially with three girls,
lol.

Dear Sue, good for you and your family. I hope all your and your
daughters live healthy forever. Health is absolutely the most important
thing in life, right?

Wow, congratulations. I spend so much time caring for kids when things
don't go well, I always enjoy hearing the stories of when it's all past
and they're well and healthy.

If I may ask -- I've been quite curious -- did she have biliary atresia
or was it something more unusual? You can e-mail me if you'd rather,
or of course not answer at all.

We had a party when it was the 10-year anniversary, but we haven't really
done anything on the rest of the years. If she makes it to 20 yrs, I would
love to celebrate again. However, every year that I have her is a
celebration.

Thank you. I agree, nothing else really matters if you don't have your
health.

I know. I like to hear the good stories too. It does seem like we hear of
too many bad outcomes.

Yes, she did have biliary atresia. I don't mind talking about it at all.
