Default gripe of the day

So tell me Joelle, how long does it take to completely "know" someone enough
to fall in love with them?

Depends on what kind of in love you are talking about and what you plan to do
with that love. Love is fine, love is fun, love is enjoyable, but it's not
enough. You can be "in love" after a half hour sometimes, but that doesn't mean
it will work out for the long haul. If it doesn't work out, doesn't mean that
love wasn't real, just wasn't enough or the right kind. I knew before I even
went out with this guy that he was a decent, honorable, good person. In seven
months I've seen nothing to change that view.

Sometimes it's not even about knowing, it's about other things being lined up.

But I'm pretty damned sure he's not a child molester or ax murderer and that's
always a good start.

am glad you met someone and are happy! Do the kids like him or have you
not made it to that point yet?

The kids liked him at first, now they don't really want to share, so I

haven't
forced the issue. I have him over for dinner once in awhile just to

reinforce
to the kids that I get to have friends, and they need to be polite and

Sarah
did condescend to allow him to drive her home after skating the other day,

so
we are making a little progress.

It sounds like you are doing things just fine! Heck, you just took them to
Italy, they owe you!

I wonder if any assumed it was better if you found their name there. :-)

That is not the law. For example, in Alabama there are different

elements to
fit the crime:

Free hint to the clueless......Alabama is NOT the law everywhere.....and
as I have stated several times, I am talking about how Mich. handles it
sheesh

Hey why are you such a dick at times? I said FOR EXAMPLE. I understood it was
Michigan law, but their code, for some reason is unavailable without west law
and since I am out of school until August, I have no access to west law. I
think I know the law Paul and the fact that each state varies, but not to some
extreme degree because there are model codes.

snipWe're all hoping that
what's going on is that she's allowing herself to process what she
never really has processed before. That makes a good deal of sense,
because there's been a lot of regression in terms of apparent coping.
So what I'm thinking is that she got strong enough to begin to think
about things more consciously, and boy, is it hurting. All the same,
it's got to happen, and the hospital so far is seeming to be a good,
safe place emotionally to process.

This is such a simple book, but have you read "when bad things happen to good
people? " Great read and I suggest it to the victims I service.

So tell me now. How does this modern dating go in your neck of the woods?
After you have accepted a dinner invitation, checked the internet to see if
he/she is on some list, run police and security checks........do you segue
somehow during dinner conversation that they passed all these checks? Is
there some standard "invitation for a date" template that can be used to
streamline waiting lists?

Just wondering.

You are not wondering, you are being snide.

You better take a look in the mirror.....since you are the one that had
their panties in a bunch.

You "think": you know the law.....but get proven wrong time and again.
