And this is news how? I knew about it four years ago at least. Doctors then were very
concerned if they found out that a woman had been taking anti-depressants before she knew
she was pregnant.

I thought everyone knew that; certainly I've met several woman on
anti-depressants who were advised to stop them (under supervision) if
they wanted to get pregnant; and one woman who was told the risk of
suicidal depression was too great if she stopped her medication and
that she should either not get pregnant or be aware of the risk to the
foetus.

The results of the study will be published in the February 9 issue of the
New England Journal of Medicine.

But isn't that a journal run by evil organized medicine? How can you
trust such a study?

But what makes it news? Doctors have known this for a long time. And what is your problem?
Are you saying that women who are depressed shouldn't get pregnant? Should they have their
tubes tied?

Women taking thalidomide for the treatment of certain cancers aren't supposed to get
pregnant either.

I know, I know, this thread is not about thalidomide.

Oh, you can trust any study with a conclusion that Evil Organized
Medicine is bad. It's the *other* studies you can't trust.
