Retail giant markets ghetto 'fashion' to children

Have you seen the new back-to-school sale commercial JC Penney is running? It features a school bus rolling up to a school, and an animated character on board. This animated character, a dark-skinned street thug wearing huge baggy clothes, untied shoes, and a skullcap pulled down over his eyes seems to be the idol of the school.

A hip-hop song "Rock Ya Body" by the rapper Stagga Lee plays in the background. This song (although not completely played on the short commercial) describes sexual bump-and-grind dancing, drug use, and the photography and undressing of women who the vocalist then supposedly has sex with. Inside the school, the children dance and run around wildly in a classroom instead of behaving, paying attention, or learning. The little slobby thug character is exactly the type of menace I teach my children to stay away from. JC Penney apparently feels that we should all take our children to shop there, dress our children like hoodlums, buy them degenerate rap albums, and encourage them to be uncontrollable in their classrooms.
