Default My Twins Are Ten :-D - Nick

Welcome back to the Midwest!!! My SIL (not my favorite relative), lives in
Indy and is a school nurse at one of the elementary schools. When we moved
to Minneapolis my DH longed for a Steak and Shake. He even wrote the
company and asked if they were considering putting one in the twin cities.
His reply from the company was curt and unfriendly (so much for the great
food). Anyhow, each time we'd visit Peoria we'd HAVE to eat there. Now
that we live here I have to admit it is good BUT enough is enough. Thank
god for South Beach Diet, it doesn't include Steak and Shake!

I'd like to be the first to welcome you and your family to Indy! I

absolutely
LOVE it here and I hope you do, too. In my old career, many I worked

for,
with, or trained were transplants who were uneasy at first. Not a single

soul
can I remember being unhappy after the people and city grew on them. I

hope
you find a similar experience!

Thanks for the welcome. I grew up in the midwest (born and raised in
St. Louis), so after being in Maryland for ten years, then in
Rochester, NY for 5 years, it's almost like a homecoming. As long as I
can find the nearest White Castle and Steak 'n Shake I should be ok.

We'll be working downtown (at IUPUI) and we are soon closing on a
house in Fishers.

Well, I'll be about 5 minutes North of you in Noblesville. You've got some
location choices for your slider/gut buster cravings (can't blame you!) and
homemade milkshakes. Let me know if I can assist you in any way at all.

Sincerely,
Missy in Indiana http://hometown.aol.com/mhrust/overviewforng.html

So a big HELLO to those of you old and new!!

"Hello" to you, too. It sounds like you have some wonderful children and

all
is well. With one entering college, you know all to well how fast time

flies!
Enjoy the upcoming school year.

Thanks, Missy. :-) I sure do know how time flies, and I'm enjoying the
time with my little ones more than I ever did with the oldest!!

I checked out your pics--your girls are just beautiful! :-)

news
i remember you, but you might not remember me. my girls were pretty
young when you dropped off the planet. i was asking about you
recently. or maybe it wasn't so recently, it just seems that way
because your twins are 10 already and mine turned 4 in March. i
remember people posting about their 3 yo twins and me thinking it
would take forever for mine to get to 3!

i remember you and your hubby are foodies and you live(d)
in...Alexandria?

anyway, it was nice seeing your post and i hope you drop by more
often.

Hey, Pam, I remember you. :-) Yeah, I dropped off this particular ng
planet, lol. I can't believe your girls are already 4! It's funny, b/c
when my kids get older, it seems natural, but somehow I expect everyone
else's children to remain young. How's 4 treating you? I remember it was a
tough age for our oldest and sort of iffy for our twins. For our youngest,
she only started getting testy recently at age 6.

Yes, we're foodies, but we live 30 minutes from Alexandria. We live in
Maryland, in a Washington D.C. suburb. I've lived here my whole life (my
parents moved here in 1962 and still live in the same home), and I met DH
here (he'd moved here with his family in 1975). :-) DH and I just visited
Alexandria last week, actually, for a "date" on a lovely day.

I hope your girls are doing well!

Jennifer
