Default Measles doesn't just kill

U.K. measles outbreaks pose risk to U.S.
http://www.upi.com/print.cfm?StoryID...1-044151-8440r

Selected Quotes:

"immunization rates in some states have fallen to dangerously low levels"

"Measles outbreaks in the United States between 1989 and 1991, mainly among
unvaccinated, preschool-aged children that infected more than 55,000 people
and resulted in 123 deaths" ....

What Would Happen If We Stopped Vaccinations?
http://www.cdc.gov/nip/publications/...op.htm#Measles

"In the U.S., up to 20 percent of persons with measles are hospitalized.
Seventeen percent of measles cases have had one or more complications, such
as ear infections, pneumonia, or diarrhea. Pneumonia is present in about six
percent of cases and accounts for most of the measles deaths. Although less
common, some persons with measles develop encephalitis (swelling of the
lining of the brain), resulting in brain damage."

Sure deaths - that justy means that the people who got it didn't die as much.

What did the incidence do?

You sad jerk, there isn't any evidence for vaccines & the .6%. Any
idiot would say the 99.4% factor was the factor in the .6%. And most
of those deaths were in immune killed people from drugs like chemo &
steroids

According to..

http://www.hpa.org.uk/infections/top...WFHmeasles.htm

....somewhere around 1 in 4000 cases of Measles results in brain damage.

Quote:

The most serious problems involve the nervous system. Inflammation of the
brain (acute encephalitis) occurs 2-6 days after the rash has appeared. Less
than 1 in 1000 measles cases is affected in this way, but 25% of those are
left with brain damage.

Name calling again? How mature. Actually, there is. In the US, the death
rate for measles and the incidence of measles is damn near 0, because of the
vaccines.

Any
idiot would say the 99.4% factor was the factor in the .6%.

That is because 100.0% - 99.4% = 0.6%.

And most
of those deaths were in immune killed people from drugs like chemo &
steroids

Really? They didn't have these drugs in common use in 1901 to 1902 (see your
stats).

Besides, is a life of person who needs chemo or steriods worth less than the
life of a person who doesn't?

What people don't realize is that in hopes of immunizing the masses we
vaccinate with drugs that have not proven immunity, but have proven that a
small number of children react negatively and consequently die or "live"-
if you could call it that. The US government has an agency set up to pay
families that suffer such losses. But for the greater good, apparently
these few are worth the sacrifice. The few don't matter to you until the
few is one of your own.

Incorrect. The MMR vaccine has been proven to provide immunity to those who
get the vaccine. That is why the incidence of measles is close to zero in
the US.

but have proven that a
small number of children react negatively and consequently die or "live"-
if you could call it that.

While there are unquestionably adverse reactions to the vaccine, most of the
adverse events are coincidence -- things that would have happened to the
kids if they did not get the vaccine (the vaccination is just coincidence).
The people who are experts in the field (the people at the CDC and FDA)
monitor these events to ensure the safety of the vaccine.

There are defiinitely risks to the vaccine, but the risks are clearly
outweighed by the benefits.

Getting measles is not 100% safe either. about 1 in 1000 kids who get
measles dies.

The US government has an agency set up to pay
families that suffer such losses. But for the greater good, apparently
these few are worth the sacrifice.

Unfortunatley, nothing is without risk. Getting measles is riskier than get
the vaccines.

The few don't matter to you until the
few is one of your own.

The many more who would die from measles, if it were common in the US, would
not matter until it were one of yours.

Again, measles vaccine is not 100% safe. No one ever claimed it was.
However, the risk of getting the vaccine is a lot less than the risk of
getting measles.

Jeff
