This is ridiculous. I refuse to go back and forth with someone that
can't argue points in a civilized manner. I am not attacking you, yet
you feel the need to attack me over and over.

In other words, Deanna can't back up his claims.

And bringing the drivel to an end disturbs you.

Anyway, can you honestly say that Ritalin is not
overused?

Yes.

There are cases o fit being innapproriately used and there
are a few communities where it is overused. However, on
aggregate, it is probably underused and most certainly not
overused.

Very witty. Congratulations. I believe there is something

opposite.

This is a typical claim made by alternative practitioners.
it is based on a few falacies. One is that "natural" equals
safe. Thei is esily demonstrated to be false by pointing out
all the natural toxic substances there are. The second is
that rather magical thinking that somehow the plants have
evolved to aid humans. Plants evolve to promote the well
being of themselves and no one else. Sometimes they will
develope a trait that is useful to humans and other times
they will develope one that is harmful. Most are neutral
where we are concerned. Since the plant gains nothing if you
kill it to help produce better mental functioning for yor
kids ther eis no reason to suspect that it will evolve to
safely help you do it.

I know this as well. ADHD sufferers have a low level of

seratonin in
the brain, as well as people suffering from depression.

Actually, ADD probably has a lot more to do with
norepinephrine and dopamine than seratonin.

Griffonia seed
and St. John's Wort can help with both. And that is a

fact.

Like I said in another post - feel free to back these claims
up.

What part of that site do you think supports things you have
said?

I did notice where it says, "According to Harvard Medical
School, current research strongly suggests that Attention
Deficit Disorder - ADD ADHD is caused in part by a
deficiency of Norepinephrine in the ascending reticular
activating system, and it is thought that the stimulant
medications, such as Ritalin, increase the levels of
Norepinephrine in that part of the brain, as well as
probably increasing dopamine levels in the frontal lobes." -
which seems to contradict your comments about which
neurotransitters are involved.

I also do feel that i should point out that while I think it
is over-all a good site that the guy is a little more
enthusiastic about constroversial science than I think is
appropriate. But that it just me.

I have recently started my own home based business built on a

solid
foundation, and I would like to share some simple facts with you

about
what the chemicals in our cleaning products are doing to our

children.
Last year, in Alberta alone, 11,515 children ages 0-4 were
accidentally poisoned. The three top culprits: household cleaners,
medications, and BLEACH.

Cool. Put locks on these.
Behavioral problems in children are being
linked to bleach, as well as learning problems.

Only by fearmongoring salespeople.

ADD/ADHD is becoming a
rising epidemic in schools today. This has long been linked to

toxic
chemicals and mold.

Bull****. There is no evidence that toxic chemical and mold cause

ADHD.

Ritalin is often overused, in my opinion, and it's
frustrating to me that all we need to do is remove the toxins-use
natural products-someone help me understand this.

All we have to do? Sorry, there is no magic pill for ADHD or any

other
condition.
And there is nothing special about natural. If you want natural,

go
move
into the woods without running water, toilet paper, shelter or

magazines.
ADHD is a neurological condition caused by differences in brains

between
people with ADHD and people without ADHD.
Jeff

Deanna
Do you happen to have any children? do you realize how easily
poisonings can happen?

That what locks are for.

Not true. Have you seen me try to sell anyone anything?I'm not saying
there is any magic pill. All I'm saying is that every time we turn
around, we're shoving drugs in our children's faces. It's simply a
band-aid to a much bigger problem.

Such as?

Very witty. Congratulations. I believe there is something special
about natural-however,I respect your opinion for the opposite.
I know this as well. ADHD sufferers have a low level of seratonin in
the brain,

Can you provide a scientific study that shows that AD/HD is linked to a

low
level of serotonin? Did you know that the medications used to treat

AD/HD
deal with dopamine, not serotonin? Do you know why? Can you figure it

out?

as well as people suffering from depression. Griffonia seed

Wrong. I am attacking the bull**** that you are posting. Why not quit and
realize that you do not have a clue about AD/Hd or its treatment and find
something that you do know something about.
