Default Teen Ring Tone - Mosquito

The only one I can't hear is the 20kHz one. -- Ron

-----Original Message-----
I heard the news report on a ring tone that adult can’t hear. You can
sample the tone at the following links. I could hear the tones. Not
the best sound out there. On the different level test I couldn’t hear
med, super high or freaky.

Drop me a line how you did?

Jennifer

Here's a link to download those ringtones that supposedly only
teens can hear and not adults or teachers because I guess our hearing
degrades over time.

I 43 and can't hear any of them, but I listened to a lot of loud music
and have gone to way too many too-loud concerts.

I tried listening thru headphones...on the first link I can hear the
first tone, the others just sound like static.

At the last link you can download better quality files (wav files
instead of mp3) - then it's much clearer, and i can hear only the
lowest frequency with headphones. Guess it's time for a hearing
check...

I heard all the tones but the *lowest* one (15 kHz). DH had problems
hearing about half of these.

No one had any problems hearing these samples.

DH is 47 and I'm 45.

I'm 42 and heard all of them fine. Good thing for the kids I'm not still
working in a school!

I do admit that it depended on the speaker volume. I could not hear
any of them if I turned the speakers down, but I am not sure what
volume kids would have their cell phones set on.

And wouldn't having the cell set on vibrate accomplish the same
purpose?

I could, but only after I turned my speakers up. DD could hear them
at a lower volume than I could, and in fact covered her ears and said
"Ow!" at the volume at which I could hear them.
