Hi Andrea, and thanks for the welcome I know what you

mean about the
rain... I'm in Welly too.

You too, wow there are about 3 or 4 from Wellington that
post here now. That's quite some achievement for a little
town from downunder :-)

Obviously we're folks of great taste

Can you believe the rain is even WORSE today!

Yes, though not here in the hills of Brooklyn, thank goodness! (and for
a change)

Today I tried out our new clothes dryer for
the very first time...woohoo! It was our first

'baby-related' purchase.

I've been using mine too, but it has a tough job keeping up
with all my washing. I have 11 children and it gets huge
very quickly if I can't get it dried.

I can imagine!

Baby shopping is fun, do you have much to get?

Yes, since I wanted to wait for a bit before getting anything really.
Just to be on the safe side.

So far we've got the dryer, a sample pack of Motherease (fitted cloth)
nappies, and a couple of outfits off TradeMe (which I've lent to a
friend for the moment). I'm watching out for second-hand stuff, but we
can buy new if necessary - just waiting for the 'discount days' and
sales now for the big items (buggy, cot, etc). What with the odd
pressie and hand-me-downs, I figure we probably won't need to buy much
clothing, so will leave that till last. I guess the biggest thing is
actually clearing the 'junk room' and turning it into a nursery before I
get too big/lazy to shimmy up ladders and the like.
